Adrienne holds a Masters degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in biomechanics from San Diego State University. She has also earned the very prestigious Clinical Exercise Specialist (CES) through the American Council on Exercise.
As a collegiate soccer player in 1993, Adrienne first met Anthony Carey early in his career at another clinic in San Diego. Years later, a back injury led her to seek out Anthony and Function First for help.
After receiving her BS in business administration from the University of Southern California and working a few years in the corporate world, Adrienne decided that life in front of a computer was not for her. She returned to school, this time studying health and fitness. The process began by earning her certification in hatha yoga and completing the personal fitness training program through San Diego State University's Extended Studies program.
Adrienne was given the rare opportunity for an extensive internship with Function First in 2004. Because of her insight into human movement and her communication skills, she was added to the team and has become our lead corrective exercise specialist.
Adrienne continues to play soccer competitively and practices yoga. |
